Naranja Agria

Chef Merito Naranja Agria is your not-so-secret weapon for adding bold, citrus-forward flavor to a wide variety of dishes. Traditionally loved for marinating lechón and other Caribbean classics, this sour orange blend offers a bright acidity with subtle bitter notes that awaken and tenderize meats, poultry, and seafood alike. Its tangy profile cuts through richness, making every bite more flavorful and balanced. Just pour, marinate, and let the flavor do the work—no squeezing or mixing necessary.

But the magic doesn’t stop at Caribbean cuisine. Chef Merito Naranja Agria is equally at home in Yucatán-style cochinita pibil, mojo chicken, carnitas, citrus-infused shrimp, or even as a zippy base for vinaigrettes and salsas. Add it to grilled vegetables, toss it with onions for a quick escabeche, or splash it into a marinade for fajitas or flank steak. However you use it, this versatile staple transforms everyday cooking into something vibrant, authentic, and deeply satisfying.
