6 lbs. Chuck (bone-in), pork, or boneless, skinless chicken
1 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Garlic Powder
1 Onion, chopped
2 Bay leaves
6 oz. White vinegar
9 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Adobo para Birria
2 cups Water
Garnish: Cilantro, Lemon, and Onions
Preparation
In a bowl, combine the meat with Chef Merito® Adobo para Birria, Chef Merito® Garlic Powder, and vinegar. Marinate for approximately 2 hours.
Place the marinated meat in a pot and add water, chopped onion, and bay leaves. Mix, cover, and cook over medium/low heat for 3 hours. (In a slow cooker, cook for 8 hours.)
Serve with chopped cilantro, onions, and lemon wedges.
