Like Achiote Paste, this is the ground anatto seed (or achiote) mixed with spices and packed into a "paste". However, it dissolves quickly and can be used like a seasoning. Yucatecan style achiote is a little more "smooth" to the taste and excellent for making Arroz(rice) Yucateco.
How to use: Use approximately 3 ½ tablespoons of Chef Merito Achiote Paste ( ½ of the 3.5 oz.) for every 2 lbs. of red meat, pork, chicken or fish
